This is HD footage of vintage World War II aircraft, shot in Binghamton NY at a Broome County Airshow. The P51 Mustang in this footage, "Glamorous Gal", is similar to the P51 Mustang, "Galloping Ghost", which crashed in a Reno NV air race which, as this upload date, has sadly resulted in 11 tragic fatalities, including 10 spectators as well as the plane's beloved and experienced pilot, Jimmy Leeward. Also shown in this footage is a Curtis P40 Warhawk, a B25 Mitchell Bomber and a Vought F4U Corsair. These vintage planes played very significant roles in WWII and helped shaped what our present world would become. Without them, and the courage of those that flew them, history would be very different as we now know it presently. The Aviator's Prayer: "Lord, guard and guide those who fly, Through the great spaces of the sky. Be with them always in the air. In darkening storms or sunlight fair. Oh hear us when we lift our prayer, for those in peril in the air." (aka The Naval Aviator's Prayer.) Shot on a Sony HVR-Z1U HDV camera, Maxell DVM-60 Mini-DV tapes, edited in Windows XP Pro on a Gateway 2.8 gHz dual processor tower system equipped with Grass Valley/Canopus hardware and Edius Pro/Canopus Procorder software; additional edits, titles and format conversions made using Handbrake, Windows Live Movie Maker on a 64-bit Acer Aspire 7738G notebook running Windows 7 Ultimate.
